     Shalako was formed over five years ago under another name Boot'N'blisters Duo

     But added a new member a pedal steel player last year and changed the name to Shalako .

     The band    Members are

     Dave Dee ..Bass guitar and vocals Dave's been around that long hes forgot how olds he is ,

     Dave dose most of the harmonies          but also lead sings .Sounds a bit like Johnny Cash and Bobby Bare

     Rich Shaft ..Lead vocals and rhythm guitar. Rick as also been around that long he too has

     Forgot how old he is.

    Started playing drums in the holiday camps in Devon when he was a

     Wee sprogg, Improved a bit since then rick has a loverly singing voice

    With overtones of Roy Orbinson

     Last but not leased theres Gordon. Pedal Steel player, Now hes that old that non of us

    Know how old he is.  Not even him, But he can't half play that Pedal  steel guitar

    Shalako plays all types of country music everything from Johnny Cash to the mavericks In

    There own country  style

    When i asked Dave what style they play his reply was sort and simple  "Its   ours" 

    The Trio has a great live sound using three guitars including Pedal steel in conjunction with

    Midi file Backing .The midi files Are equivalent to having there own Keyboard player But with a true live feel

    Most of the backing Midis are rearranged by Dave to suit there Style of playing 

    The Trios repertoire consists of all types of country and country and Western Music

    From good old fashion country and western to modern line Dance country.They Include such artists as .

    Johny Cash ,Bobby Bare . Alan Jackson. Garth Brooks. Willie Nelson. Box Car Willie,The Mavericks. And many more

    And Believe it of not between the three of them have got more than 100 years experience in the music business

    So Why Not Give them Try in your Club  Pub . or even old folks homes ( reduced rates) You wont be Disappointed
